    Serves

  • 3 1/2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pot Continental Stock Pot Sensations Beef Stock Pot
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup baby rocket leaves
  • 250 g mixed cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon snipped chives
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice or lime juice
  • 1/2 cup Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise
  • 4 burger buns, split, toasted

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes until softened and lightly caramelised. Transfer onions to a bowl, cover to keep warm and set aside.

  2. Meanwhile in a bowl combine mixed tomatoes, chives, juice and 1 tablespoon oil. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, using clean hands, combine beef mince, beef stockpot, egg and panko breadcrumbs. Shape into 4 evenly sized patties approximately 12cm diameter.

  4. Clean and dry frying pan. Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in pan over medium high heat. Cook beef patties for 4 minutes each side, or until cooked through.

  5. Spread bases of each bun with mayonnaise. Top with lettuce, rocket, caramelised onion, beef patty, tomato salsa and bun tops. Serve.
