  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 500 g chicken thigh fillets, trimmed, diced
  • 170 g packet Continental Pasta & Sauce Bacon Carbonara - Family Pack
  • 1 1/2 cups (375mL) light milk
  • 1 cup (250mL) water
  • 2 teaspoons margarine
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 12 sheets frozen ready rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • mixed salad leaves, to serve

Chicken Carbonara Pies
  1. 1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium -high heat. Cook chicken, for 5 minutes or until golden. Add milk, water and Creamy Bacon Carbonara pasta and sauce mix. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes. Stir in peas. Transfer to a large bowl and set aside for 10 minutes to cool slightly.

  2. Preheat the Sunbeam Pie Magic® pie maker. Cut out the base and top from the pastry sheets, using the Pie Maker cutter.

  3. Place the pastry base into the pre heated Pie Maker. Scoop ½ cup of chicken filling into the pie cavity. Place the pastry top over the filling. Repeat the same process until the Pie Maker is full. Lightly brush tops of the pies with beaten egg. Closed lid and cook pies for 8 minutes until golden brown. Serve whilst hot with salad.
